Suitability

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 requires all organisations to provide adequate and appropriate first-aid equipment, facilities and people so employees can be given immediate help if they are injured or taken ill at work.

Our HSE (Health & Safety Executive) approved First Aid at Work training, covers the necessary arrangements to ensure this happens.

What is covered

Our experienced Mercury HSE approved trainers deliver this 3-day training course in a interactive and participative learning environment where training hand-outs and practical exercises are provided to emphasise the key learning areas.

When an employer has carried out a risk assessment and identified the need for a fully qualified first aider, a person is usually nominated for training in accordance with HSE guidance and legal obligations. Our comprehensive FAW training ensures people who are responsible for first aid within the organisation are fully equipped to do the job to the best of their ability.

How will I be assessed

There is a written test and practical skills assessment and successful candidates are awarded a First Aid at Work Certificate which is valid for three years.
